SEAT Ireland continues to grow its position as one of the fastest growing car brands in the Irish market with April sales increasing by a significant 17% year on year resulting in a market share of 3.6% for the month of April.
SEAT sales are up 8% year to date with a strong market share of 3.4% up from 2.9% same time last year. All of this is occurring in a car market which is down some 8.5% so far in 2019 meaning SEAT is continuing to outperform the Irish market.
One of the key drivers to SEAT’s continued success this year is the performance of the brand’s sensational SUV range and the exceptional SEAT dealer network. SEAT’s SUV range, which includes the award-winning SEAT Arona Ireland’s small crossover of the year 2019, the stunning SEAT Ateca and the new 7 seater SEAT Tarraco, accounted for a staggering 71% of SEAT’s sales in the month of April.
Niall Phillips, Brand Director at SEAT Ireland commented, “The month of April has been another excellent month for SEAT and these impressive figures are clear evidence of the significant impact the brand is having in the Irish market. The development of our product range over the past three years, particularly our SUV range, has been a gamechanger for the brand in Ireland with the SUV range now accounting for 58% of our sales this year to date.”
